MICHAEL CESARANO is a Registered Patent Attorney who serves as the Head of the Patent Prosecution Department. Mr. Cesarano concentrates on patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and the national and international registration of various forms of intellectual property, particularly related computer and internet technology. He also handles administrative proceedings within the USPTO for trademark oppositions and cancellations and patent prosecution issues.
Mr. Cesarano began his career as a pilot in the United States Marine Corps. Combining his military aviation background with a law degree, he worked first as a commercial litigator, and later as a patent attorney with the Boeing Commercial Airplane Company.
Mr. Cesarano received his LL.M. from the University of London, his J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and his B.E.E. from the University of Virginia. Mr. Cesarano is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and is board certified by The Florida Bar in the fields of Civil Trial, Business Litigation, and Intellectual Property. In addition to being a member of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Cesarano is admitted to practice law in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Washington. Additionally, he is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
