Our appellate practice encompasses both state and federal appeals in civil and criminal matters and includes virtually all areas of the law. Our appellate attorneys provide support through various practice areas including business litigation and torts and insurance. Also, attorneys in our various offices have handled hundreds of appeals and oral arguments throughout Florida, California, New Jersey, and New York and various United States Circuit Courts of Appeal including the Second, Third, Eleventh, Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Our practice also includes administrative appeals from various municipal and county agencies. Many of the appeals our Firm has been involved in have produced significant published opinions.The Appellate Practice Department is chaired by attorney Jack R. Reiter.

Jack R. Reiter is a Partner in the Firm's Miami office and heads the Firm's Appellate Practice Department. He is Board Certified in Appellate Practice and AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Reiter is responsible for handling and overseeing appeals at state, federal, and administrative levels. In addition to specializing in appellate matters, Mr. Reiter also handles general commercial litigation and provides litigation support. He has represented major corporations, administrative agencies, state and municipal governmental entities, and private individuals in all aspects of appellate practice.
Mr. Reiter served as Chair of the Florida Bar Appellate Rules Committee from June 2005 – June 2006, and is a member of the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar, and the Appellate Practice Section of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association.
