Our complex commercial litigation includes business fraud, director, officer, and third party professional claims, accountants liability and contract disputes. Our creditor's rights practice includes collections, assignments for the benefit of creditors, foreclosure, loan workout and the representation of receiverships. Our securities law practice includes litigation and SEC investigations and proceedings.

Gary M. Freedman is a partner of the firm. His primary practice areas include creditor's rights, bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation and business reorganization. Mr. Freedman has represented debtors, creditors, creditor's committees, trustees, and he served as the Liquidating Trustee in the world's fifth largest cruise line's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the Southern District of Florida. Outside of the bankruptcy arena, he has extensive experience representing lenders in complex commercial litigation and transactions. Mr. Freedman was Board Certified in Creditor's Rights Law by the American Board of Certification in 2000.
Mr. Freedman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester in 1984. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University in 1987. While at Emory, he was the Managing Editor of the Bankruptcy Developments Journal in 1986- 1987.
Mr. Freedman was admitted to practice in Florida in 1987. He is also admitted to practice in the State of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Federal Claims Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is a member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and the Insolvency Committee, Construction Committee and Business Torts Committee of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Freedman has presented seminars in Florida Foreclosure and Related Bankruptcy and Title Issues for the National Business Institute and has authored an article entitled "Bankruptcy Issues Related to Mortgage Foreclosures." Representative reported cases areRand v. Hallmark of Hollywood Condominium Association, Inc., 555 So.2d 1230 (Fla. 4th DCA 1989); In re Greater Miami Trading, Inc., 177 B.R. 1022 (Bankr. S.D. Fla. 1995); KLR Investments Limited v. Wolfert, 561 So.2d 474 (Fla. 3rd DCA 1990) and Prudential Bank Securities, Inc. v. Rechichi, 105 B.R. 726 (Bankr. S.D. Fla. 1989).
Since 2007, Mr. Freedman has been named to the "Florida Super Lawyers" list compiled by Law & Politics magazine, which recognizes Florida's leading lawyers as chosen by their colleagues.
Mr. Freedman joined the firm in 1992. He was born in Hull, Massachusetts in 1962.
